Monday 20th July

Hello everyone,

Can't quite believe how many of these website updates I've done. Thank you to those of you who have continued to send me your work and keep in touch with me, it has made this hard time easier as I've missed spending time with you all. I'm looking forward to seeing you all in September, it may be in a different class, but I'm really looking forward to it.

This week is our last week in school before summer and we are looking at the country Australia, completing a variety of activities. I have attached the work for you to complete, I will try and upload some of our work for you to see.

As always don't forget to send me you work or any photos of what you have been getting up to, I love hearing from you.

Keep safe

Our Learning Challenge.....

The Roman Empire

Throughout this topic the children will carry out historical studies as well creative work, such as drawings, mosaics and making Roman sandals.

We love to read.....

Children enjoy guided reading sessions where they can develop their reading and comprehension skills.

Children will have their own reading books to take home.

We have a well resourced school library where the children are allowed to select a book.

There is also a reading corner in the classroom.

In our literacy lessons we are looking at The Canal by Pie Corbett

Maths

In maths we have been learning about fractions. Your child has been given fractions work in their work packs and below are useful links to help them.

Times Tables Rockstars

The children have been working hard practising their times tables ready for the end of year test. They have been using Times Tables Rockstars, they are able to create their own avatars and earn a rockstar status. The children have individual logins which they can use to access them at home.

Here are some additional websites to support learning at home....
