Our focus for this half term is Hope. We will be adding to our Values tab how we are exploring how that looks in our school and how we can live it out in our lives, as Jesus taught us to.
Daily Timetable
Start of school is at 8.50 am
End of school is at 3.20 pm
Playtime is at 10.30 am and at 2.15 am
Tuck
Tuck is £1 per week or £10 per term. This can be paid electronically.
Please use Parent Pay. Fruit is also still available each day to children.
Water Bottles
Your child should bring a water bottle into school each day, fresh water only, please.
Outdoor PE
Every Monday afternoon with Mr Stevenson
Please bring a named school PE kit into school.
PE bags can be left in the classroom.
We enjoyed our stay and read session!

Welcome Back to Spring 2!
We hope you all had a wonderful, restful break. Miss Jones and I are so excited to be back in the classroom and can’t wait to see the children continue to grow and excel this half term.
We have some brilliant projects lined up:

English: We’re diving into the heart-warming story of Beegu.

Maths: We’ll be mastering our numbers all the way up to 50.

DT: Get ready for some tasty treats as we design and create fruit kebabs!

Science: We’ll be becoming experts on the animal kingdom.
World Book Day: We are also looking forward to celebrating World Book Day this term! It’s always such a joy to see the children’s love for reading come to life—stay tuned for more details on how we'll be celebrating.

🎄 Welcome Back to School!
A huge welcome back to all our Year 1 students after the Christmas holidays! We hope you had a wonderful and restful break, enjoying time with family and friends and the excitement of the season.
The Spring 1 half term is shaping up to be fantastic, and Miss Jones and I are thrilled to be back and ready to continue making great progress with the children.
Here's a snapshot of what we'll be learning this half term:

English: We will be immersing ourselves in the story, 'Grandpa's Gift.'

Maths: Our focus will be on numbers up to 20.

Art: We will be honing our skills by drawing in detail.

Science: We will be exploring the fascinating topic of our bodies.

Autumn 2 - Welcome Back!
The children have settled so well into Year 1 and have made some excellent progress already! As always, if anyone has any worries or questions, please come and arrange a time to speak with me. Please see below some of the children's topics for this half term. We are taking part in Rubgy sessions this term so this will a new and exciitng expereicne for the children. It is also Parents evening the first week back so make sure you attend your appointment to hear all about your childs expereicne so far in Y1.
