Welcome to Year 3PE/KM!

During the summer term, our Topic is 'The Romans'. This is focussed around the theme of invasion; the power of the Roman Army and the impact of the Roman invasion on Britiain.

In Maths, we are looking at Fractions, building on the skills from last term.

In English, lots of our work will be focussed on the text 'My Life in The Roman Army'. In Reading, we will be continuing our work with the VIPERS (Vocabulary, Infer, Predict, Explain, Retrieve, Summarise) strategy. We will also be reading a new class novel, 'The Iron Man.'

We will also have lots of other fun activities taking place throughout the term!

Tuck

Tuck is £10 for the term, you can pay this via Parent Pay.

PE

PE with Mr Stevenson will take place every Monday morning and Thursday morning with Mrs Moore. Please ensure your child's PE kit is all named and in school.

Water Bottles

Please provide a water bottle for your child and bring to school everyday. We are a healthy school and only plain water is allowed, thank you.

Spelling Words and Times tables

Each week, new spelling words and times tables will be sent home on a Monday. Your child is expected to learn these every night. There will be a spelling and times table test on a Friday morning.
