You can design and make your very own sandwich for the Lighthouse Keeper to eat. Think about the ingredients you want to use. Will it be white or brown bread? Does the Lighthouse Keeper like tomatoes in his sandwiches? Remember to draw and label your sandwich and if you can, please send it to me.

Mrs Bramley - Class Teacher
Mrs Grainger - Class Teacher
Mrs Clarke - Teaching Assistant
Mr Stevenson - PE Coach
Welcome to Year 2 GB's class web page.
Here's a little bit of information about the timetable:
We learn Literacy every day and this includes handwriting, reading, spelling, speaking and listening and writing.
We learn Maths every day and you will soon see an overview of the topics for the year.
This half term PE will be on Wednesdays (golf lessons) and Fridays with Mr Stevenson. Please keep PE kits in school all week. We will send them home at the end of each term to be washed.
Our topic this term will be called 'Survival of the Fittest' and we will be learning all about keeping healthy, eating healthily, growing plants and food chains.
Water bottles should come to school every day and go home to be cleaned each day. Please only send water.
Toast can be ordered from the school office for 20p each day. It is possible to pay for the whole week, or even half term.
Reading books should be brought to school every day and taken home every night.
Parents and carers can write messages in the reading planners and should sign when their child has read or completed a book.
We do sometimes play out when it is raining so waterproof coats are helpful in the autumn and winter.
Ms Grainger teaches the class every Thursday and works closely with Mrs Bramley to plan work for the children.
We love to read!
Children enjoy guided reading sessions where they can develop their reading and comprehension skills.
Some children choose their own reading books to take home.
We have a well resourced school library where the children are allowed to select a book and take it home.
There is also a cosy reading corner and library in the classroom.
