Monday 25th May

Good Morning,

What a lovely day it is today, hope you all manage to spend some time outside on this bank holiday Monday. Have a look on the word document if you want some ideas about what to do today.

For this week, as it's should be half term, I have still planned some activities for you to have a go at but they don't all need to be completed. It's a chance for you to recap some of those key skills and also go back and have a look at the workbooks you took home. Is there anything you missed that needs finishing off? Also, this week the children in school are learning about famous artists so I have included some activities on this topic including looking at my favourite artist.

Don't forget to email it to me on molly.henshaw@st-pauls.stockport.sch.uk, this can be with any work you have done or even pictures of what you are getting up to. It's great to hear from you.

Keep safe, keep smiling and I can't wait to see you all soon

We love to read.....

Children enjoy guided reading sessions where they can develop their reading and comprehension skills.

Children will have their own reading books to take home.

We have a well resourced school library where the children are allowed to select a book.

There is also a reading corner in the classroom.

In our literacy lessons we are looking at The Canal by Pie Corbett

Maths

In maths we have been learning about fractions. Your child has been given fractions work in their work packs and below are useful links to help them.

Times Tables Rockstars

The children have been working hard practising their times tables ready for the end of year test. They have been using Times Tables Rockstars, they are able to create their own avatars and earn a rockstar status. The children have individual logins which they can use to access them at home.
